After four weeks of first-year Japanese at Columbia, I've learned alot. The memorization is tedious at times but the progress is steady and rewarding. I am taking Japanese not only for my language requirement, but also out of interest in the language and culture. I'm a fan of anime and manga, and i've picked up bits and pieces of the language over the years. Formally studying the language is nice.
